Once again I had to return to Abajo Peak and this time I drove instead of helicoptering in. If I look as tall as the clouds that's because I just about am. This mountain is 11,600 feet and that would be Colorado in the background. I drove 6 1/2 hours from Salt Lake to Monticello and spent Wednesday afternoon changing out a compressor for Verizon Wireless. What some of us don't do so you guys can talk on the phone.
This rock slide is amazing and the road goes right through it.
I could frame this one.
The Monticello temple. It's kinda strange because there is only about 1,900 people that live in this town. This temple is in a remote area and serves a lot of little towns.
Can you imagine the talks in church about temple attendance. No excuse not to frequently go to the temple here.
Thursday I had to stop by Moab and change out another compressor. This one for Alltell Wireless. At least I had some pretty awesome scenery to look at. It's amazing how red the rock really is.
I came into town about 9:00 pm Wednesday night thinking I could find a room. Yeah Right! Every single hotel, motel and dive was full. I went through town with no luck. I decided to try it one more time. I found a hotel with their sign showing vacancy and thought that the 'No' had burnt out. I found that they just had a cancellation and I wasn't going to have to sleep in the truck after all. Everyone in town visiting are Europeans. Dang them.

Maybe you should focus on getting your work done rather than having a photo shoot. ;) Just kidding!!! I'd like to have your job. Except for the overtime.
What a job to go to all of these places. I guess work is pretty intense too. Thanks for the pictures and info. Love you all
