Chad and I drove out to Santa Rosa with Ryan, Jacki & family, Dad & Kerlyn and Uncle Dean. We rented a a minivan with Ryan. My mom watched the kids for us. On our way out of town we met everyone at Flying J in Lakepoint and had a breakfast picnic with the kids. Lola's favorite was the hash browns, she has one in each hand in the picture. The 12 hour ride wasn't too bad, we had DVD players and lots of books.
It was a very nice military graveside service. There was a bagpiper too. My Aunt Jan (my dad's oldest brother Kim's ex-wife, mother of his kids) was there. It was so great to see her, I haven't seen her for years.
This picture is of all the daughters of Kim, Roy and Ross the 3 oldest boys in the family. I wish we could see the Andrew side of the family more.
We went out for pizza twice on this trip. Once we got stuck at the kids table, not as much fun as the adult table.
On Saturday we (Chad, me, Jacki, Aunt Janice, Sam, Kenzie and Dylan) drove into San Francisco for the day. We went to Pier 39, Ghiradelli Square and Chinatown. We had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. And did a bit of shopping.
It was a nice trip, great to see family, but it's too bad it had to be a funeral to make it happen.
