We celebrated 5 years together, our anniversary was yesterday. We took Friday off and started our weekend with a couples massage here in Tooele. There is a lady named Mary that advertises in the local paper and she was pretty cheap, but we though "why not?" We found out why not! I went first and while I was on the table Chad was to sit in "a nice, big massage chair", it was a squeaky piece of crap chair. She said since it was our anniversary she'd throw in hot stones for free. Well she just piled the stones on my back and left them. She massaged my legs and arms for ever, I wondered when she would get to my back.(Isn't the back massage the main part of a massage) Well she never did rub my back, she just took the pile of rocks off and had me flip. To end my massage she oiled up her hands and rubbed my face! I hate my face touched!!! I was dying and Chad was trying his best not to laugh. She left the room so we could switch places, Chad and I laughed until we cried. We couldn't leave now. So when she came back i mentioned how much Chad's back hurt. So he got his back rubbed, although it was rubbed with one hand while she blew her nose with the other. What a great way to start our celebration. But it got much better after that. We stayed the night at Little America downtown, neither of us had stayed there. We had a great big room on the 16th floor. We had lunch at the coffee shop and went swimming. In the morning we had the buffet breakfast, which we loved. They have an omelet station, my favorite thing. Then we spent the day shopping and going to the Home Show. We ended the night with a fireside at our ward building, Mario Facione spoke about his conversion from the Mafia to Mormon. Thanks to my sweet Mom for watching the kids for us.
I love you Chad!!!

You really should let that "massage therapist" know how awful she is - you could save another couple from a disastrous experience! And maybe she will give your money back? You better not have tipped her! Wow, what a terrible experience, I'm glad it got better after that, but then again how could it have gotten worse? :)
I was really curious about your massage experience after your FB comment....that is a riot! To be honest, I kind of love when stuff like that happens because it makes for such great stories :)
Happy anniversary!
Hope you are keeping a journal. You guys just know how to make the most out of your life. Sounds like you had a great time, except the massage. Hope you never lose the spontaneousness out of your marriage. Guess you got my card. love you guys. Mom
