The tour of the USS Bowfin Submarine was pretty awesome. It made us a bit claustrophobic. I couldn't imagine living on a submarine for months at a time.
And I can only imagine how bad it smelled to be sealed up with 50 guys in such a small space.
The USS Arizona Memorial was a somber experience. It was nice to see the reverence observed by all the people there. The USS Battleship Missouri was pretty neat. It's huge. We felt lost inside. They even had a dental office inside the ship.
Second stop for the day was The Dole Pineapple Plantation. Is was raining pretty heavy, but we didn't let that stop us. We took a train ride around the plantation and had fresh pineapple ice cream.
We then drove to the North Shore. Chad couldn't wait to get in the ocean.
This was the only time Phil got in the water. We were quite the site in parkas in Hawaii.
