Callings, Camping and Baby Shower

Our ward recently split and we got new callings. We had been in Primary teaching the 9 year olds since we were married. It had been fun, but we didn't know any adults in the ward. Well our new ward is smaller and we hoped to stay together teaching Primary. I am the 2nd counselor in the Young Women's and Chad is Cub Master. Two callings that we have no idea about. The Young Women's leaders like to have their meetings on Monday mornings at 10 am. I am the only one who works, so can't make those. And starting this month (I hope) I will start teaching finally at night my dental assisting class, so that means I can't make it to mutual on Wednesday nights. I should be a great 2nd counselor ;) When they called Chad they told him that the cub scouts meet after school for their activities. Chad works until 5 or 6, so he can't make those. So hopefully we will be able to serve in our callings.

Chad wanted to go camping for Labor Day weekend, so his dad took the motor home up to Monte Cristo for us. We got up there Friday night, the weather was great for me, nice and cool. Saturday we drove down to Woodruff for the baby shower that Chad's mom, Lola and sister-in-law, Maydi threw for me. There was great food! It was fun, lots of family came. I had the help of 5 little girls to open presents, it went really fast. (Thanks Maydi and Lola-love you!) After the shower everyone went up to the campsite for dinner. We had dutch oven and Smores ;) Chad's brother Scott and his family stayed with us Saturday night at the motor home. Sunday we went back to Woodruff and stayed the night there. It snowed a little on Monday morning.

Young Women's is fun. We will have even more to talk about now. Your hair looks fab in that picture - and so does your belly. Can't wait for that baby!

That's how nice you look while camping and pregnant? We are never going in the wild together, I look like a transient. Way to work the momma belly, you seriously look good.
