So many pictures.......

Here's the story: Thursday I went to the doctors and I was dilated to a 1 and 80% effaced. So I said to the doctor "lets get him out this weekend". He told me to walk and that I could try caster oil. I told him "see you Saturday!" So Friday I walked a few blocks to Bajio, to get a spicy lunch, and then when Chad got home we walked to Walmart and got caster oil. I took some when we got home. Around 2 in the morning I thought I was having contractions so I got up to time them and when I did, my water broke. We left for the hospital and arrived around 3:30 am. They put us in an overflow room, because it was a busy birth night at LDS. They left us for about an hour and we didn't know what was "normal". My water kept "breaking" all over and we were freaking out. They finally came back to see us and we were still a 1, so they moved us to a birthing room and started me on pitocin. I made it 5 hours without an epidural but, OH MY HECK, after the pitocin it was crazy! My doctor got there, checked me, and we were ready. We only pushed for about 20 minutes and then he was here. Trevor LaVon Eastman is beautiful and looks like his Daddy. Chad was an awesome coach! He is now an expert diaper changer and baby burrito wrapper. We had so many visitors, thank you all for the visits, flowers and gifts. It is great to be so loved! Cadie even surprised us with a last minute visit from Portland. Before we left on Monday we were informed that Trevor has jaundice and needed to keep him on a Bilibed until his counts go down. This is the saddest thing. It's a little light box that he lays on and we can only take him out to feed him. So last night was really hard for a new mom not to be able to hold her baby. Hopefully tomorrow after his blood test we will be able to take him off it. To see more pictures check out Cadie and Jacki's blogs.

Congratulations you guys!! He is truly a beautiful baby. Boys are so fun. Can't wait to see him. Hopefully we will get to Utah before he leaves on his mission. Lots of hugs and kisses. (Aren't epidurals awesome?)

Love all the pictures! It is so funny how when you buy the "take home" outfit it seems sooooo tiny, then you put in on them and they are swimming in it. Not for long though, I'm sure he will be a good little eater. So proud of you! You guys did it! You wanted a baby and here he is, enjoy every second!

Congratulations!! It was great reading the details. Bill, John, Evelyn (almost didn't make it to the hospital) and Dale were all Castor oil babies. It is too hard to wait when everything is ready. He is just beautiful. i hope we will be able to come and see him before too long. Love all of you. Grandma and grandpa

Congratulations, (I know you don't know me Bryn, but I went to school with Chad and actually lived by him in Woodruff.) I am so excited for you guys and your baby is adorable. I am sorry he has to be on lights, that has to be hard. I wish you luck in the next few weeks for getting use to everything. It is wonderful and challenging all at the same time. Again, congrats and please tell Chad hello for me.

I can not believe that you actually drank the castor oil! That stuff is nasty. Your little Trevor is so so cute! Congrats!

I finally made it to your website and took a look at Trevor. He looks pretty normal to me and not some big headed, pudgey baby where you have to lie about how cute the kid really is.
I am happy for you guys that everything worked out okay. It takes a miracle to get a child here healthy and normal. Our last pregnancy and child scared us a bit and so we called it quits.
They only get funner as they learn to do things. I have found much joy in watching my kids grow and develope. In fact with the scare of this cancer, I felt really bad about the possibility of not being around to finish watching them grow up.
Well, take care now and try to get as much sleep as possible.
