Rachel Ricks Fullmer was my first mission companion at the MTC. At the MTC you arrive in alphabetical order, so I was the first to arrive and had to wait for my companion and roommates to arrive. I was just hoping I didn't get a crazy girl for a companion ;) I am so glad it was Sister Ricks from Idaho Falls. I was going to the Phoenix AZ mission and Sister Ricks to the Carlsbad CA mission. We had a great time together and almost 8 years later we are still good friends. Here is a story from the MTC: on our p-day we were walking across the street to the field for "exercise" time and I mentioned to Sister Ricks that my Uncle Dean lived across the street from the MTC. We decided if we saw Uncle Dean then it was a "sign" we were to go over and use his phone. Well guess who we saw carrying his laundry? Uncle Dean! So we jumped the fence and went into his apartment and called our moms. My request was for my mom to send some Dr. Pepper ASAP! What rebels we were ;) Thank you Sister Ricks for you donation to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation, I really appreciate your support and friendship.
