Crazy Weekend

So our weekend plans were to go up to Woodruff Friday night, Chad would take Ryan and crew hunting and then we would leave Saturday afternoon to be back to speak in church on Sunday. Well that didn't happen. Saturday morning Chad called me to tell me they found some elk and would probably be back by 5pm. So when we hadn't heard from them by 7 pm we were worried. Finally at 7:30 we got the call that the truck was stuck and we needed to come rescue them. So Chad's dad Phil called the sheriff and they went to get them. While waiting to hear that they got them, a cop car with sirens and lights going came flying toward the house. I about had a heart attack thinking something terrible had happened and they were coming to get me. Turns out it was a caravan celebrating the win of the high school football team. But then I hear from Chad that we need to go to Evanston to get snow chains to get the truck out. So Chad and I drove in the snow storm to get chains at midnight. They finally got the truck out and were home about 4:30 am. What a way to get out of speaking in church right? :) Oh and they got the elk by the way.

Below is my craftiness, I made a valance for Trevor's room. We needed to block out the sunlight so he would sleep longer. It worked, he sleeps about an hour longer.

Wow! That looks really cold! Nice way of getting out of church! I'll have to use that one next time!
Love the valance!! And I'm sure you love the fact that Trevor sleeps longer!
