Laid to Rest

Friday morning we picked Annie up and drove to Woodruff.  Chad, Grandpa, Grandma, the kids and I went to the Eastman Cemetery to dig her grave.  It was very cold, and the ground was frozen.  When we got there we saw that cousin Melvin had plowed the snow for us to get to where we needed.  After we decided where to dig some cousins showed up to help us dig,Wace, Jessica and Melvin.  We felt so overwhelmed by the love and support our family.  We are very blessed.  It took a few hours to get through the 2 feet of frozen ground.

The next day a flower arrangement and birthday balloon arrived for me in Woodruff.  They were from Kristy, Heather, Monica, Eve, Ashley, Marie, Ryan and Bear.  It was so thoughtful of them.

  

On Saturday we met at the cemetery at noon.  Chad read a sweet poem and dedicated the grave.  Trevor and Lola helped Chad shovel the dirt to bury our daughter.  It was the most touching moment for me to watch my little family.  We are so blessed to know our Heavenly Father's plan for us and that we will be with Annie again one day.

After the dedication we had lunch at the church.  Maydi was so kind to help organize the lunch for us, as well as everyone who brought food and helped set up and clean.
